Collection: Alternators

Alternators fail at the worst times — bearings get noisy, voltage regulators quit, and suddenly you're running on battery alone. It's a wear item with a finite life, which is exactly why used OEM alternators from lower-mileage donors make sense: same factory output for much less.

What to check: the pulley should spin freely with no grinding or play, and the case shouldn't show signs of overheating. Match amperage to your vehicle's options — more accessories means a bigger alternator.
